Some pictures in the software development kit for the new iOS 5 kicked the rumour that new ipad may include retina display. The tech site TechUnwrapped reported that the images in the Twitter integrating framework for the new mobile OS of Apple have double of 1,024 x 768. That is, the images are of 2,048 x 1536 resolution. It is double the resolution used in current iPad.

By analyzing the images, the site says that this change in resolution may indicate the incorporation of retina display. Apple’s retina display was introduced in the last summer with iPhone 4. It have pixel density of 326 pixels per inch. This makes the display smooth and crisper.

There is also confusion among tech commentators like TechRadar and 9tomac. 9tomac says that the images are strong evidence for the inclusion of retina display in the new iPad. But TechRadar comments that similar images where also released in previous ipad. iPad 2 failed to have retina display.

Tech world believes that Apple will release two different iPad models. One Wi-Fi only version and another version with either CDMA or GSM.
